Grunt (NZ) is a six-year-old bay stallion by Champion stallion O’Reilly (NZ) out of Ruqqaya (NZ) who is by Van Nistelrooy (USA), he now stands on the Yulong roster.

Originally raced by Rupert Legh, Grunt was trained by Mick Price (AUS) and is a dual Group 1-winning miler, with five wins from his 12 starts, recording $1,382,450 in prize money. Grunt broke his maiden at the beginning of his second campaign starting a four-race winning streak. On the 3rd March 2018, Grunt won the Australian Guineas ridden by Damien Oliver praising grunt post-victory “He’s a magnificent specimen of a horse and he deserved a really strong Group 1 win like that today”.

Returning as a four-year-old, on 15th September 2018, Grunt impressively won the Maybe Diva Stakes beating 8 Group 1 winners in the process.
