Trifecta for Tagaloa at Bendigo

Second season sire Tagaloa added his 12th individual winner at Bendigo on Sunday with an impressive victory by three-year-old Heiwana Tamashi on seasonal debut. Winning by 3.5 lengths, the John Moloney-trained colt led home a Tagaloa trifecta, Yulong-bred Regal Gent and Reece Goodwin-trained Aitu fighting it out for placings.

Sold by Supreme Thoroughbreds at the Inglis Gold Yearling Sale of 2024, Heiwana Tamashi is the last foal out of the unraced Our Perfect Mare (Lonhro), already dam of two further winners from only four foals. This is the family of Champion three-year-old colt Universal Prince and three-time Gr.1 winner Think it Over.
