Tagaloa adds 13th first-crop winner

Second season sire Tagaloa enjoyed winner number 13 on Monday when Annabel and Rob Archibald-trained three-year-old filly Varuni won by 1.8 lengths at Muswellbrook. She was having her third start, having placed in both her first two outings.

Sold by Stockwell Thoroughbreds to Yulong at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale, Yulong on-sold Varuni at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale to Australian Bloodstock.

She is the second foal of Ready To Pick (Stratum), an unraced half-sister to Group 3 winner Savoureux (Nadeem).
