British-bred colt Gewan (GB) is by leading European sire Night Of Thunder (IRE), out of the Stakes-placed Lethal Force (IRE) mare Grey Mystere (GB).
Trained by Andrew Balding, Gewan was the winner of the two-year-old Gr.3 Acomb Stakes at York prior to his private purchase by Yulong. He carved his name into Yulong’s history books by becoming the racing powerhouse’s first British Gr.1 winner, carrying the green and white silks to victory in the Gr.1 Dewhurst Stakes on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket.
