Yulong-bred and -sold Brave Monarch is by Brave Smash, out of the Kingmambo mare Puppet Queen (USA). He was sold at the 2024 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale for $20,000 to Hancox Bloodstock.
Trained by Chris and Corey Munce, Brave Monarch swept onto the Queensland racing scene in the spring of his three-year-old campaign, claiming three wins in the space of a month. He stepped up to Black Type company in the autumn, taking the Listed Daybreak Lover at Eagle Farm and returned two weeks later to add the Gr.2 Queensland Guineas.
