We are looking for both experienced horse people and enthusiastic individuals, who have a strong interest in the thoroughbred industry, to work as Stud Hands.
You will be well-presented and have a friendly and outgoing personality with a desire to learn and grow your horse husbandry skills. In addition, you will have good communication skills and a hardworking, can-do attitude.
Reporting to the Stud Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Daily stud tasks such as feeding, checking horses, horse movements, and paddock/stable maintenance.
- Administering medications and drenches, as required.
- Assisting veterinarians, farriers, and dentists with procedures.
- Cleaning and maintaining barns, equipment, and tools
- Other general stud farm tasks as required.
Candidates will be offered a remuneration package in accordance with experience and have the opportunity to join a fun and supportive team. Shared accommodation will be available to the successful candidate if required.
A valid right to work in Australia and access to a car are essential.
