Chris Waller-trained Angel Capital will look to capitalise on his breakthrough last-start Group 1 win, lining up in owner Yulong’s slot in The Everest this Saturday.
The five-year-old entire secured an elusive first top-flight victory in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield just last month following a string of elite-level performances, including placings in the 1200m Newmarket Handicap and William Reid last season.
“Angel Capital is our best sprinter and has now confirmed the same as a last start Group 1 winner” said Yulong’s Head of Racing, Danny Rolston.
“We are realistic about the task at hand with a quality field and the world’s best sprinter in Ka Ying Rising, but Mr Zhang is a competitor and is looking forward to the challenge on Saturday.”
Sixth in 2025 when running in the James Harron Bloodstock slot, Angel Capital looks to become only the second entire to capture the world’s richest turf race, completing a star-studded field of 12 in this year’s thrilling edition at Randwick.
