Yulong Stud are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Time Mechanic to join the team.
Yulong is a thoroughbred stud farm set over 4,000 acres near Nagambie in the pristine Goulburn Valley. It is a family owned and operated business whose vision is to be one of the best and most influential thoroughbred breeders in Australia. We have a variety of farm vehicles that require maintenance and are looking for a dedicated individual to fill that role.
Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on Farm Vehicles and Machinery.
- Maintain a regular and appropriate schedule of servicing for all farm vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles.
- Test-drive vehicles to confirm proper operation and identify issues that require further attention.
- Maintain the Farm Workshop area under supervision of the Workshop Manager.
- Purchase of Equipment or parts needed for maintenance, if required by Management.
- Maintain accurate records of all Servicing and repair work performed.
- Communicate effectively with relevant Managers regarding repair needs and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
To be successful you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician, minimum of 3-4 years experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems.
- Clean Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Right to work in Australia is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, well-presented and punctual.
- Excellent interpersonal and concise communication skills, with ability to maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize, good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety practices and regulations.
