First winner for freshman sire Tagaloa

Cowra’s meeting on Monday saw the first winner for Yulong’s Gr.1 Blue Diamond winner Tagaloa when two-year-old filly Spicy Lu won on debut for trainer Nick Olive and apprentice jockey Coriah Keatings in an open maiden event over 1200 metres. She bolted in by 3.22l from Fireup (Casino Prince) and La Chaparron (Motsayter {USA}).

Bought by her trainer from Vinery Stud for $30,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Spicy Lu is out of city winner All Salsa (Charge Forward) who has produced two other winners.
