Hannon signals new winner for first-crop sire Lucky Vega

First season sire Lucky Vega (IRE) chalked up his 11th individual winner on Sunday when two-year-old Lost Signal (IRE) scored a 2.5l victory at Salisbury for trainer Richard Hannon. Owned and bred by Yulong, Lost Signal is the second foal out of Smile At Me (Galileo), an own sister to Listed Bluebell Stakes winner Curly, and out of a sister to Champion two-year-old and sire Danehill Dancer.

Lucky Vega returns to Australia this year following a sensational debut season from his first southern hemisphere two-year-olds, led by Gr.2 Sweet Embrace winner and Gr.1-placed Within The Law, and dual Stakes performer Vega For Luck.

Lucky Vega stands at Yulong at a fee of $38,500 inc GST in 2025.
