Inglis Easter: No golden eggs, just golden opportunities

The team at Yulong has been working hard in preparation for the upcoming Inglis Easter Sale, where they will present a select draft of 11 yearlings, with some tantalizing pedigrees.
Below are just some of the highlight’s cherry picked from this year’s elite draft:

Lot 14 – A sharp filly out of the Gr.3-winning mare Kooweerup (More Than Ready). She hails from the family of Gr.1 winner Allez Wonder, by Yulong’s Champion sire Written Tycoon. Her half-sister is currently in training with Ciaron Maher and has already won as a two-year-old, whilst she is bred on the highly successful Written Tycoon/ More Than Ready cross that has produced Gr.1 winners Coolangatta, Southport Tycoon and La Luna Rossa

Lot 290 – This colt by Ocean Park oozes class and is out of one of the most prolific producers of the modern era, blue hen Baggy Green. He is a sibling to no less than four Stakes winners including two Gr.1 winners, with his full-sister Tofane a multiple Gr.1 victrix. Baggy Green is herself a half-sister to two top-level winners in Funstar and Youngstar, with her current two-year-old, a full sister to this colt, selling for $700,000 at the same sale last year.

Lot 410 – One not to miss! By Champion sire Written Tycoon and the first foal out of Yulong’s late Champion three-year-old Hungry Heart (Frankel). This colt is one of only two foals produced by the much-loved mare, who herself claimed Gr.1 wins in both the Vinery Stud Stakes and Australian Oaks. He’s got all the attributes to be a top-class performer with the looks, the movement and the pedigree, and is sure to be on the shortlists of all major colt buyers.
