Champion Canadian-bred mare Moira (CAN) is by American sire Ghostzapper (USA) out of Devine Aida (USA), a Stakes-winning daughter of Unbridled’s Song (USA).
A Stakes winner on debut at two, Moira claimed a further three Stakes races at three before taking the Gr.2 Canadian Stakes at four and placing in the Gr.1 E.P. Taylor Stakes.
Moira continued to shine at five, with a win in the Gr.2 Beverley D. Stakes and placings in the Gr.1 Diana Stakes and Gr.1 E.P. Taylor Stakes. She rounded out her career in the USA with a standout win at Del Mar in the 2024 Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf prior to her purchase by Yulong.
Exported to Australia, Moira added placings in the So You Think Stakes and Gr.1 Underwood Stakes to her burgeoning record before retiring to Yulong’s Nagambie property in the spring of 2025 with career earnings just shy of $4.5million.
