Star juvenile Lucky Vega (IRE) is by Lope De Vega (IRE) and out of Queen of Carthage (USA) (Cape Cross {IRE}). Formerly trained in Ireland by Jessica Harrington, Lucky Vega achieved his most significant win as a two-year-old when dominating in the Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in 2020. Returning the following year, he ran third in the Gr.1 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, the first British Classic of the year, and was competitive in two more starts in Europe’s premier mile races. He now shuttles to Yulong from the Irish National Stud.
