Tagaloa brings up a ninth first-crop winner

Second season sire Tagaloa enjoyed his ninth winner yesterday when three-year-old filly Prestige Ice won at Grafton. Having her third start and first this season, the Jordan Lee-trained filly made a late charge down the inside rail to clinch victory on the line.

Prestige Ice was bred and sold by Yulong to Eric Leung at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale and is a half-sister to Stakes-placed three-year-old gelding Kalkallo (Alabama Express). Their dam, Written Era (Written Tycoon) was Group 3-placed herself and is due to foal an Alabama Express again this season.
