Growing Empire is a son of Zoustar out of the Group-race performing Snitzel mare, Miles Of Krishan and a half-brother to Gr.3-placed filly Dancing Alone. He was purchased by Yulong from Vinery Stud at the 2023 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale. Trained by Ciaron Maher, he was second behind fellow Yulong-owned Chateau Miraval on debut, before winning the Listed Valley Pearl Stakes at Moonee Valley on just his second start. Growing Empire rounded out his two-year-old campaign with a devastating win in the Gr.3 Breeders’ Stakes before easy victories in the Gr.3 McNeil Stakes and Listed Poseidon Stakes at three.
