Grinzinger Belle set for Gr.1 challenge

Trainer Danny O’Brien was pleased when Yulong decided to keep Grinzinger Belle (NZ) (Shamexpress {NZ}) with him after the Victorian farm purchased her for $1.45 million at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. She will run in Saturday’s Gr.1 Tatt’s Tiara. “We were lucky enough to get her back and hopefully we can get a result for them, which will hopefully continue the relationship going forward,” O’Brien’s racing manager Jack Howard told racing.com.

Grinzinger Belle (NZ) wins the Gr.3 The TAB Vanity at Flemington Racecourse.

“She’s definitely ready to go. She has a good fresh record over that trip and hopefully we can get a result for Yulong. She probably deserves a good race. She’s done enough work. She had a jump-out here before and she went along as one of Gai’s really went along. We’re hoping for rain as it assists her and detracts from the others.”
