Kooweerup is by More Than Ready (USA) out of a Gr.1-winning Redoute’s Choice mare, Allez Wonder. Kooweerup’s dam is also a half-sister to Gr.3 winner Pretty Pins and Breccia, who produced Gr.1 winner Tivaci. In 2018, Kooweerup was purchased for $650,000 at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale. A winner of two races from nine starts, Kooweerup won her first two races and claimed victory in the Gr.3 South Australian Breeder’s Stakes at only her second start, beating Gr.3 winner She Shao Fly.
