Racing Victoria recently announced a superb addition to its VOBIS scheme, and now the VOBIS Sires Boost offers an additional $7.5million in the form vouchers worth $30,000 to the owners of eligible VOBIS Sires progeny that win one of 250 races in Victoria.
These races are one of 250 VOBIS Gold bonus races run throughout Victoria, and if won with a VOBIS Sires progeny (VOBIS Gold nominated), the owner will net the existing $20,000 VOBIS Gold cash bonus PLUS a $30,000 VOBIS Sires Boost voucher. The VOBIS Sires Boosts vouchers can be used for reinvestment in the industry by paying for a service fee to a VOBIS Sires nominated stallion or spent on their progeny at the sales or via an approved Victorian Syndicator.
All Yulong stallions are VOBIS Sires nominated, giving Victorian breeders a great opportunity to take advantage of the new bonus. In addition, Yulong-sold yearlings are VOBIS nominated so are eligible to enter the scheme to race for cash bonuses and the new voucher.
The VOBIS Sires program is headlined by the $1 million VOBIS Sires Showdown (1200m for 2YOs) and the $500,000 VOBIS Sires Guineas (1600m for 3YOs), both of which feature on Victorian Owners and Breeders Raceday each April.
