Yulong Stud is seeking a suitably experienced horse person to join our team in Bayles as an Assistant Manager.
Reporting to the Bayles Farm Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of Yulong Park:
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
– Ability and willingness to support the Farm Manager in the day-to-day operations of a busy
farm with the capacity to step up and take charge in the Farm Managers absence,
– Solid organisation and planning skills,
– Ability to manage staff under the direction of the Farm Manager, including assisting in
training new staff,
– Confident in bandaging and administering medications (IV, IM and Oral),
– Exceptional communication skills and ability to work within a team environment and
independently,
– Solid understanding of horse nutrition,
– Ability to positively encourage and educate staff,
– Experience in training and educating young horses,
– Knowledge of, and experience in, safe operation of all equipment and use of personal
protective equipment,
– Demonstrated problem solving skills,
– Demonstrated attention to detail,
– Ability to maintain accurate records.
– Full driver’s license with a reliable vehicle (essential),
– A resilient and hardworking attitude.
This position will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our spelling farm, and it is expected that you will be a positive and professional reflection of the Yulong brand. You will be well presented, a clear communicator and have a desire to achieve great results. Previous experience working a busy spelling operation is essential.
